The present study examines the growth and development of publication out put in the field of "Cloud Computing". Cloud Computing is an emerging technology which provides a lot of benefits to research and development activities especially in the field of Library and Information Science. In order to carry out the research, the related data were extracted from "Web of Science" database. The major objective of the study is to find out the number of publications related to "Cloud Computing" which are indexed in "Web of Science" during 2001-2010 only. The Scientometric analysis was applied to investigate and fulfill the objectives. It is found that 510 records related to Cloud Computing in "Web of Science' were appeared during the periods. It is found that the author "Buyya.R" and the country "USA" have produced the majority of records. Further, the study is also recommended that the teachers, research scholars, scientists should involve in the research activities related to "Cloud Computing" to increase the productivity of literature on "Cloud Computing".Keywords

A study was conducted to know the efficacy of potential biocontrol agents and fungicides against mulberry wilt, Fusarium solani. Three antagonists viz., Trichoderma viride., Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis and six fungicides viz., carbendazim, mancozeb, zineb, copper oxy chloride, tebuconazole and pre-mixture fungicide (carbendazim 75% + mancozeb 25%) were tested under in vitro and in pot culture against wilt pathogen. The results showed that Trichoderma and the bacterial bioagents significantly reduced the mycelial growth of the pathogen. Among the fungicides, mixture of carbendazim + mancozeb (0.1 %) completely inhibited the mycelial growth of the pathogen. In pot culture studies, the minimum (10.5 %) incidence of wilt was observed in soil drenching with carbendazim (0.1%) which was on par with soil application of consortia (Seri bed waste+Pf1+Bs4+Tv1+Neem cake) which showed 12.3 per cent incidence as compared to maximum (46.7 %) wilt incidence in control. Similarly, in field studies also recorded the minimum incidence in soil drenching with carbendazim (0.1%) followed by soil application with consortia.Keywords

Three bacterial antagonists, viz. Pseudomonas fluorescent, Serratia marcescens and Bacillus subtilis, were evaluated against Fusarium oxysporum, the cause of tuber rot in tuberose (Polyanthes tuberosa L.) in vitro and in glasshouse conditions. In dual culture P. fluorescens reduced the growth of pathogen to an extent of 51.78 per cent over control, while S. marcescens and B. subtilis reduced the growth of the pathogen to the extent of 48.75 and 41.76 per cent over control, respectively. Tuber treatment with talc based formulation of P. fluorescens, S. marcescens and B. subtilis @ 10g kg−1 significantly enhanced the germination percentage of tuberose under glasshouse conditions. Among the bacterial antagonists tested, P. fluorescens @ 10g kg−1 significantly reduced the incidence of tuber rot (67.81 % over control) at 80 days after planting and increased the shoot and ischolar_main length by 127.67 percent and 128.13 percent over control.Keywords

Due to increasing number of wireless communications and devices, the limited radio spectrum is heavily congested. So, the spectrum crowding problem is occurred. To avoid the spectrum crowding problem, we have to utilize the limited radio spectrum in an efficient way. The cognitive radio is an attractive solution for the spectrum crowding problem. The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing is selected as a physical layer for transmission in cognitive radio. The structural deflection problem has arisen in the CE20 engine (Cryogenic engine of 20 ton thrust) test facility in ISRO-LPSC. In this arrangement the nozzle is just inserted in the diffuser for about 35 mm and is having a radial clearance of only 10 mm. The engine along with the mounting arrangement is deflected due to its self weight. The deflection due to self weight is to be determined through relevant analysis and the interference of the engine with other equipments in the test rig to be studied. The deflection of entire system is analyzed as determinant and in-determinant structure. It is necessary to maintain the circularity of nozzle to get proper thrust for which it is designed so the ovality is analyzed by FEA.Keywords

The frequency control is basically a matter of speed control of the machines in the generating stations. The load frequency control (LFC) helps to keep the net interchange of power between pool members at predetermined values. The objective of LFC is to minimize the transient deviations and to provide zero steady state errors of these variables in a very short time. This paper deals with various controllers like without Controller, proportional integral (PI) Controller and fuzzy logic Controller for three area load frequency control in co-ordination with auxiliary frequency controllers is proposed by using MATLAB/SIMULINK. It is designed for a power system comprising areas interconnected by normal tie-lines and frequency controllable High Voltage Direct Current transmission links were auxiliary frequency controllers are used. The qualitative and quantitative comparisons have been carried out for without Controller, proportional integral (PI) and fuzzy logic Controllers. The superiority of the performance of fuzzy over without Control and PI is highlighted.Keywords

Machining parameters play a significant role for successful and efficient machining operations. Therefore, it is required to use the optimal parameters, especially for NC/CNC machines. Optimization of machining parameters can be defined as the appropriate selection of economical machining parameters in order to achieve maximum profit rate or minimum production cost or maximum production rate. The aim of this work is to maximize the profit rate by an optimization technique. Researchers have used many optimization techniques to solve the various engineering problems. This paper describes effectiveness and utilization of an optimization system, called Ants Colony Algorithm, for multi tool milling operations. The Ants Colony Algorithm based Optimization procedure evaluates the unit production cost, unit production time and maximum profit rate. The machining parameters such as optimal number of passes, cutting speed, feed, and depth of cut, are subjected to the constraints-maximum power, surface finish and cutting force. The Ants Colony System is a new kind of co-operative search procedure inspired by the foraging behavior of colonies of real ants. The problem has been solved by Ants Colony Algorithm with an example taken from the literature. Due to the shortage of experienced process engineers and need for automation in manufacturing, the role of computers in process planning becomes inevitable. The integration of CAD, CAPP and CAM greatly shortens the product lead time. But true integration of CAD and CAM activities can take place only when the manufacturing information can be obtained from the CAD solid model and hence automate the process planning. The link between design and manufacturing represents a vast field of research, and its growth is crucial to the success of the CAD/CAM industry. This success mainly depend upon the, how reliably the data's are exchanged from various CAD systems to CAM systems. The existence of incompatibilities between information technology systems used in the process of design, engineering and manufacturing has given rise to various data exchange problems. These problems are of particular concern as more and more concurrent design is being undertaken by collaboration of different organizations that utilize different application programs and operating systems. Phloroglucinol ( 1,3,5-Trihydroxy benzene ) is used in the preparation of pharmaceuticals, dyes and resins. It is also used in the preparation of cut flowers, textile dyeing and printing and in analytical chemistry. Ultrasonic parameters provide valuable information about various inter and intra molecular interactions in solutions. Ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity of aqueous solutions of Phloroglucinol at various concentrations and at various temperatures ranging from 303 K to 323 K have been experimentally determined. Ultrasonic parameters such as Acoustical impedance, Adiabatic compressibility, Intermolecular free length, Rao’s constant, Wada’s constant, Acoustical relaxation time, Relative association, Available volume and Vander Waal’s constant of these solutions are computed on the basis of these measurements. Most modern buildings incorporate a façade system to conform to green building regulations. Several common facade systems utilize composite panels made of combustible materials and can significantly enhance the fire risk, as shown by many recent building fires. This study presents the development of a full-scale research facility at IIT Gandhinagar to better understand the behaviour of real fires involving façade systems. Such a facility will facilitate scientific studies pertaining to façade fires and help in improving fire safety of such buildings.Keywords

Crop health monitoring and assessment have become more successful with the advent of remote sensing technology in agriculture. Using this technology, retrieving information about crop biophysical parameters on a non-destructive basis at spatial and temporal scales has been made possible. Several drone-derived spectral vegetation indices (VIs) have assessed crop growth status in a larger farming area. In this study, we generated VI maps for a cotton field area in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India. The ground-truth chlorophyll data (SPAD-502 Minolta meter) were collected from the field on the same day of drone image acquisition. Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis were done for validation and accuracy of the ground-truth chlorophyll data and VIs. The study reveals that obtaining near real-time chlorophyll content using high spatial resolution drone images is quick and reliableKeywords
